What's poppin' y'all! It's your favorite blogger and welcome back to STYLD 101, how you doin? Y'all already know the vibes, today we are reviewing my fave looks from the 2019 Bet Awards blue carpet. The only place you can twerk down and two seconds later it's a whole Gospel performance, how that work? I was going to a best and worst dressed but no tea, no shade....that would've taken forever but let's not focus on the negativity! Some of these celebrities just need a new team is all I'm saying. Anywho, enough of me talking my shit, let's get into my faves!

10. SAWEETIE

Say what you want about Saweetie but she's that girl. Saweetie is wearing a full Moschino ensemble on the blue carpet, styled by Byron Javar, giving a Barbie tease to the girls. With Jeremy Scott as the creative director, Moschino is known for their crazy, vibrant designs & I think Saweetie was the right person to pull it off. Although, I think the sleeves weren't the best for the look, it wouldn't have had the same effect without them. I think a latex sleeve really would've set it off but overall I love this look on here.

9. LIL NAS X

Lil Nas X arrived on the blue carpet in a custom suit by Pyer Moss, I don't think he could've picked a better designer. I've been seeing a lot of mixed views on his look but I am completely here for it. I loved that he decided to think outside of the box and not staying true to the norm while also keeping his same aesthetic. I hate when the guys don't play around with their looks so the fact he did something different I really admired that The tailoring on his suit was superb and I'm living for the fact he went for a cropped blazer jacket as well. Not only that, can we just acknowledge that this man is fine AF?! Sheesh.

8. RICO NASTY

"BITCH I'M NASTY" & so is this look! Rico popped out on the blue carpet in all Fenty honey with the D&G bag. She was styled by my favorite stylist, Farren Jean Andrea so I already knew sis was in good hands. It's no secret that Rico is an aggressive rapper and likes to talk her shit in her songs which is why I am loving this switch up. This is not what I was expecting from Rico but I'm so glad that she did it. You look good giiiiiiiiirl!

7. NOMALANGA SHOZI

I had no idea who this woman was before but now I have no choice but to stan! Nomalanga is not only the face of BET Africa, but she's also an actress, radio DJ, and TV host. Damn black women are amazing. I don't know who she's wearing or the stylist but sis did that! Hair is laidT. Her glam team did what they had to do, the outfit really compliments her skin and sis is glowing. (UPDATE: she‘s wearing a custom made dress from Rich Mnis)

6. RYAN DESTINY

Ryan Destiny looked absolutely stunning on the blue carpet. She is wearing Carmen March styled by Scot Louie. Ryan is one of my favorite fashion girls so I already knew she was going to be a fave before I even saw her, plus Scot x Ryan is always a push. I always say that simple goes a long way and this is the perfect example. She didn't over-accessorize and kept it to a minimum which I love because it would've taken away from the dress. She's not doing the most but you know she's there and that's the goal. 10's across the board!

5. KARRUECHE TRAN

Ms. Karrueche is serving 90's realness! She stormed the blue carpet giving it some color with an all yellow pantsuit. Karrueche was styled by EJ King and although the designer is unknown, she definitely has the girls wanting to know. I absolutely love this look, the construction of the sleeves is what truly made. Her shoulders look broad giving the look a shoulder pad tease and her glam team was on point. I would've suggested a different shoe but other than she owned this look. (UPDATE: her look was from House of Holland)

4. CIARA

Cici came through for the kids in a Jean Paul Gaultier dress paired with heels from Stuart Weitzman styled by Maeve Reilly. She looks stunning, the color looks amazing on her. When I first saw the dress I thought the designer was Alexandre Vautheir so I was really in for shocked when I saw it was JPG, either or this was a great ensemble for her. It's that fuck nigga free glow. (I still need that prayer sis)

3. JUNE AMBROSE

Auntie June slayed the blue carpet in a full Marc Jacobs look. Auntie said THIS is how you do fashion. I don't know if her bag is Marc Jacobs as well but if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure it's Judith Leiber, don't take my word for it because I could be wrong. She looks electric and one thing I love about June is that she's not afraid to play with different patterns/fabrics which is perfectly demonstrated here, I think this look suits her very well.

2. KHOUDIA DIOP

Bitch, this was a GAG! I need to know who is the designer and who was on her glam team because y'all need to give them their things. She looks so enchanting, the dress was constructed perfectly and it didn't have to much volume on the bottom to where it overpowered her. This is absolutely breathtaking. Fuck the BET awards, I would wear this to my wedding!

1. DOJA CAT

Now I know that the Met Gala is over but THIS IS CAMP. I had to save the best for last and Doja took the fucking cake. This is the cat lady I aspire to be when I grow old, Doja is wearing a custom piece by THE BLONDS and styled by Brett Nelson. Whenever there are awards shows these are the kind of looks I love to see. Fashion is meant to think outside of the box and she did that and THEN some. Do y'all not see the MEOW shades? Whew, I stan. She ate this shit up and left no leftovers. Bravo girl, bravo.
