what's good y'all! welcome back to STYLD101, your fave fashion blog, if you're new here then it soon will be cause I'm going to make it my mission. today, we are gathered here to talk about our fellow sisteren, Megan. aka Thee Stallion, aka Tina Snow, aka Hot Girl, etc. for the people who've already been following my blog you guys already know the vibes, but for the ones who don't, STYLD Talks is where we discuss fashion or fashion related topics. it is never to bash or discredit any brand or artist, just stating my opinion along with others. with that being said, let's get into the blog! we all know Megan is one of, if not already, thee hottest female rapper out right now. Megan is from houston, texas and they don't call her thee stallion for no reason. the 5'11 glamazon has been killing shit for the female rappers & has even received props from female icons such as Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Rihanna, etc. she's like the hip-hop Monica, she gets along with everybody. although, she has been stepping on some necks in the rap industry...I feel that she's struggling to find her way into the fashion world. HEAR ME OUT! I'm not saying that everybody has to be a fashion girl, but I do feel that being as big of a star that Megan has become that you have to constantly think about how you can elevate your style. like, what can I do different from the other girls? if you didn't know, celebrity stylist, EJ King, currently styles Megan. his clientele consists some of your faves such as Teyana Taylor, Chris Brown, Eva Marcille, etc. I'm personally a big fan of EJ, especially after seeing his work with Teyana, and I was really excited to see what he would be able to do for Megan. I'm not going to sit up here and act like he's just doing a bad job with her because she has given us some LOOKS, but not any looks to keep us wanting more. particularly lately, I feel like her looks have been getting very repetitive and some are just a straight no.

SWIPE LEFT:

I know there's some people who are going to be like, "Maybe that's what she likes!" which is completely understandable, but as a stylist myself, it's your job to take your clients likes and to intertwine them with yours to give the girls something that they have never seen before and that's why were hired or they can dress themselves. I feel that they're more-so focused on trying to give us the latest trends, which I understand because it's popular for a reason, but I want to see more fashion moments. I want to see more see more statements from her and not instagram moments. seeing the work EJ has produced on past/current clients, I feel that with Megan he kind of drops the ball a little bit. well, there goes my 2 cents & that also about wraps up this blog post! what do you guys think? do you agree or disagree? are you hear for Megan's looks or would you guys like to see more from her as well? scroll down and let me know what you guys think in the comments because I would really love to hear your thoughts on this topic. once again before I close out, these discussions are never to bash/discredit anybody. just simply having fashion talk in the love of fashion. make sure you guys comment, like, subscribe & I will see you all in my next post! much love.

i completely agree tbh. there’s no rule that say you HAVE to be a fashion girl in this industry, but like you said, it feels like a celebrity of her stature would at least pull of some occasional looks. she’s dope MC and i lowkey wish her looks represented her talent.

Honestly, I can see foresee this happening. She was so raw when she first popped up on the scene. However I feel like the industry and her fans are putting her into a box, leaving very little room for versatility for her. Hopefully this doesn’t become the case. Looking forward to Suge and what she has to offer!
