HOW CARDI BECAME THE ULTIMATE FASHION GIRL.

If you guys didn't know, Cardi released the video for "Press" today and she did what she had to do! The fashions, creative direction, the glam, and did I say the fashions?! What makes the video dropping even better is that it's her actual court date today, we have no choice but to stan. The video inspired this post so let's get into it, okurrrrrrrrr!

Just a little background info for the ones who don't know, before we meet Cardi, we first met Belcalis just a regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx. We fell in love with Cardi when she was on Instagram just talking her shit and she had made a name for herself. It's no shade that Cardi was a stripper in her past and she will be the first to tell you. She has no shame in her game and still talks about till this day by including it in her songs and music videos. About four years ago, Cardi had got her break and got casted a member on VH1's hit reality TV show, "Love & Hip Hop: New York" Cardi had skyrocketed the ratings and was trending everywhere the moment she stepped onto the screen. Can you say impact? One of her most famous lines, "If she gon' have beef with me she gon' have beef with me.......forever." aired on one episode and it took her brand/franchise up a whole 'nother level. In 2017, Cardi got signed to Atlantic Records and that was just the start of the beginning.

One of the best things Cardi has ever done was team up with stylist GAWD, Kollin Carter. Kollin has turned Cardi into the ultimate fashion girl, not only did she go from just wearing Fashion Nova to wearing designers such as Thom Browne, Dolce & Gabanna, Christian Siriano, Versace, Moschino, and more, but to also be sitting front row at fashion week and having her own collection with Fashion Nova. You know what this is? Growth. Since her come-up, she has even graced the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Fader, Cosmopolitan, and more. From being rejected by fashion designers in the beginning just because of her persona to where she is now is a BIG deal. One of the first major luxury fashion brands to ever show Cardi love were THE BLONDS, even back in 2015, and she's been wearing your faves ever since then.

Whew, her glam team deserves an award for her transformation because she looks damn good. She has not only made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, but in the fashion world as well.
